Thickness and warmth adds spacing between fingers. Order size down and still could have used an X Small

- Reviewed in the United States on January 10, 2015Size: LargeColor: Brown TweedVerified PurchaseI don't normally write reviews on products that meet their description and specifications, only on products that exceed those qualities and these fingerless gloves do that. I have arthritis in my one hand and this winter it has really been bad. I discovered quite by accident that keeping them warm will not cure the arthritis but they would not hurt near as much and I would have more mobility without the pain.
I started searching for fingerless gloves and there are hundreds if not thousands of different kinds. Many are high tech that use compression to help blood flow. I wasn't really interested in those and the prices were rather high for what I wanted.
About 10 years ago I purchased some winter work gloves from a local hardware store that were ragg wool with another insulation property. They have been the warmest gloves I have ever owned even when they were soaking wet. So, when I was that these fingerless gloves were ragg wool, I wad delighted. They are absolutely wonderful for the purpose I'm using them for. They are made in the USA and are excellent quality. They cover my wrist and extend far enough to cover the first joints in my fingers. You will not be disappointed with these gloves for use outside or for medical reasons. Be sure to get the right size. All the things made overseas are always too small. Not the case with these. I normally wear an XL size, but I decided to order a Large. It fits perfectly. They are easy to put on and take off. You'll probably will decide to get more than one pair after you have them awhile. Great product!

- Reviewed in the United States on February 19, 2024Size: MediumColor: Brown TweedVerified PurchaseDecided to take these on an icefishing trip to Montana. Personally, I hate gloves because I don't like working with anything I can't touch. I also become the only picture taker and coordinator (via smartphone) on any given trip; and as such I knew fingerless would be a must. These wool gloves really fit the bill. My exposed fingertips suffered some but everything is a tradeoff and it beat needing to peel regular gloves off for every photo opp or task requiring fine motor skills. Hands stayed toasty and the gloves were perfectly durable with some typical minor pilling.

I folllowed the size chart instructions and measured my palm circumference at 8.25” at the knuckle. I bought the smalls at first after reading the reviews (size down), but they were tiny! I couldn’t even fully open my hand in them, so I gave them to my girlfriend.
Then I bought the mediums according to the size chart and they fit perfectly!

- Reviewed in the United States on September 15, 2019Size: MediumColor: Brown TweedVerified PurchaseIf you plan to go as Bro Thor this Halloween, then these gloves or others like it, are a must have. These are inexpensive and seem fairly well made. And while made mostly of wool, they aren't unbearably itchy which is nice. They are the right color and cut for a Bro Thor costume and at $10 are one heck of a bargain. So I can't see where you could go wrong with these.
I imagine that fingerless wool gloves probably have some other use, maybe something practical. But I am not aware of it and can thus not commit on that. They are a little itchy and I'm not sure how well they will hold up. But for costume work its perfect.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 29, 2020Size: MediumColor: Brown TweedVerified PurchaseI got these gloves for fishing and they work great. The wool stays warm even when wet and I have full ability to tie and cast and unhook fish, never have to take them off until I'm packing up. But I've also worn them just around and I love the open fingers for texting and doing all those little things you don't really think of that require dexterity or grip, getting the card out of the wallet to pay, clipping on the dog leash.... just random things that I'd try to do with gloves but then end up taking them off.
Oh, also I wash them and dry them and have no problem. They came a little bigger then I expected for the size and after the first wash they shrank a little to right about what I'd call a slightly larger then normal medium and after that they have stayed the same even after several washes. They also do not keep the fish smell, they come out of the wash good as new.

Size: LargeColor: Brown TweedVerified PurchaseI bought these for my husband. He has very large hands. They fit like a glove. LOL! He's so happy with them as it's difficult for him to find gloves that fit. These are very well-made, soft and warm. Will buy again.

4.0 out of 5 stars Happy with these gloves though they do pull
Size: MediumColor: Brown TweedVerified PurchaseBought these tho use in a cold room where I need dexterity for more and keyboard. The mask issue is that the gloves have started to pill a bit. That's natural for wool so not unexpected.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very warm
Size: MediumColor: Brown TweedVerified PurchaseI bought two pair of these for my 76-year-old husband, who has large hands. He wishes the cuffs were a little looser (they leave ridges in his wrists when he takes the gloves off), but he wears them all the time anyway, both day and night. They're wonderfully warm.
